PENNY GAP TONGUE AND GROOVE/SHIPLAP

Penny gap tongue and groove has a different installed appearance than that of our vjoint tongue and groove, but the same installed appearance as shiplap. The advantage being that a tongue and groove connection is more secure than a shiplap connection. Shiplap has been used in older buildings many years ago and has made a comeback recently in interior design. We can custom mill these boards using cedar, fire, pine, etc.

STRUCTURAL TONGUE AND GROOVE

Structural tongue and groove boards can be made in 2×6, 2×8, and sometimes 2×10 dimensions. They can be used in loft floors acting as the structural flooring, exposed finished flooring, and exposed finished ceiling all in one product. They also are commonly used for cabin roofing material providing structural roofing and a beautiful exposed ceiling. The fir 2×6 tongue and groove is a great option for horse stalls and barns considering the durable qualities of fir and that horses don’t chew fir as much as pine. It can also be made in pine and cedar.

BOARD AND BATTEN SIDING

Board and batten siding is a unique design style that places thin strips of wood battens over the seams of vertical wooden panel boards. We normally make it with a rough-sawn finish giving your home a beautiful natural and classy touch. We can make fir, pine, or cedar board and batten siding to fit any project.

BEVEL SIDING

Bevel siding is a rough-sawn tapered board installed horizontally with the thin edge on top and the next board simply overlapping it. It makes for a simple and economical siding while giving your build the beautiful touch of real wood that can’t be replicated. It goes well together with board and batten siding i.e. bevel siding on the walls and board and batten siding in the gable ends.
